The City of Oakland Park, located in the geographic center of South Florida, was incorporated as the City of Floranada in 1925. Four years later, it became known as the City of Oakland Park.

	Broward County Trash Transfer Stations Oakland Park residents are provided free access to Broward County Trash Transfer Stations.
	Bulk Pick-up View the City's Bulk Pick-up Map with the days of the months that bulk pick-up is scheduled.
	Cart Collection Rules The Solid Waste Division has prepared some easy to follow cart collection guidelines.
	Commercial/Multi-Family Garbage Collection Commercial garbage is collected at least twice weekly and on all weekday holidays except Christmas day.
	Dumpster Collection Rules Some helpful guideline to help ensure dumpsters are utilized for the proper materials.
	Electronics Recycling City residents may drop electronics curbside for collection and recycling during their Bulk Pick-up week.
	Household Hazardous Waste Residents can dispose of Household Hazardous Waste free of charge at the Broward County Residential Trash Transfer Station, 2780 N. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach.
	Recycling Recycling is made available for both residential and commercial customers
	Residential Garbage Collection Residential garbage is collected twice weekly - each address is provided a 96-gallon cart for their use.
	Special Collections For customers with special collection needs, the City offers fee-based bulk collections.
	Waste Tire Services City residents may drop off (free of charge) up to four (4) tires per visit to the Public Works Compound at 3801 NE 5th Avenue.
